Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. seeks a Production Unit Leader (Production Supervisor) in Trenton, MI for a contract opportunity with potential extension or direct hire. Starting pay ranges from $33 to $35.60 per hour, with benefits available. The role is 100% onsite and requires availability across all shifts.

The candidate will lead small teams, ensure safety, and drive lean improvements to meet quality, throughput, and cost targets while maintaining team morale.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
• Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels within the plant.
• Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams.
• Ability to coach/mentor/develop team members.
• Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Ensure production plan is met and drive continuous improvement activities.
• Lead kaizen projects focused on Safety, Cost, Quality and Throughput.
• Ensure a safe workplace and enforce safety tools and procedures.
• Analyze losses during shifts and coordinate lean manufacturing activities.
• Allocate personnel on the line and build teams; manage absenteeism.
