Job summary

Amick Farms in Maryland is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations, optimize line efficiencies, and manage team placement and rotation. You will partner with QA and USDA to address issues and ensure compliance with food-safety standards.

You will train staff on Production, USDA, HACCP, and OSHA guidelines, monitor timekeeping in Kronos, and lead performance evaluations to drive safety, quality, yield, and cost improvements across the plant.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SSOP and GMP
• Experience with USDA guidelines
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure the routine operation of the department by evaluating efficiencies, line speeds, placement and rotation of team members
• Work effectively with USDA and attempt to resolve issues as they arise
• Coordinate all product quality with QA
• Participate in pre-operative inspections conducted by QA
• Train and certify by position new and existing staff regarding Production, USDA, HACCP, and OSHA guidelines as appropriate
• Work with other interfacing departments to ensure adequate product, service and/or information is provided
• Work with HR to address and resolve team member issues on hiring, attendance, employment termination, and contractual and disciplinary issues
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues when possible
• Conduct staff performance evaluations
• Monitor, adjust and approve timecards daily in Kronos Timekeeper
• Perform related duties as required
