Job summary

AJM Packaging Corporation in Vineland, NJ is seeking a Production Foreman to supervise a department or shift and help run all activities for efficient operations. The role focuses on maximizing machine uptime, overseeing staff, monitoring quality, and enforcing safety.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Three years or more of supervisory experience preferred.
Five years or more of high-speed manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Must have high-speed manufacturing experience.
Be mechanically inclined with experience using common hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage a department and/or shift to maximize uptime and throughput.
Supervise staff: assign work, provide instruction, and participate in performance reviews.
Monitor equipment and quality of finished products; identify issues and take corrective action.
Ensure staff follow all safety rules and procedures.
Track inventory levels and recommend procurement for supplies and parts.
Provide ongoing training to increase staff knowledge and skills.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Managers.
Enforce corporate and plant quality standards.
