Job summary

AJM Packaging Corporation, a leading manufacturer of paper products, seeks an Assistant Dock Foreman in Vineland, NJ. You will oversee dock operations, verify shipments, organize staging areas, prepare documentation, handle materials and equipment, and enforce safety standards.

The role runs full-time on 40-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM). Salary ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to advance within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of shipping & receiving required.
• Experience as warehouse crew lead, or other related supervisory experience a plus.
• Experience with hand-counts and cycle counts are highly preferred.
• Hi-Lo experience required.
• Experience with Railcars is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Check and verify incoming and outgoing loads to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a well-organized staging area and direct staging of loads to maximize flow.
• Gather and complete proper paperwork and audit tags for each pallet.
• Do build-ups of shipped materials and re-configure/re-stack/re-wrap pallets as needed.
• Operate a forklift and assist other material handlers in a fast-paced dock environment.
• Ensure staff adheres to all safety rules, guidelines and procedures.
• Dock area and wells are swept, dusted and cleaned at end of shift.

Position Overview

AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products, including paper plates, cups, bowls, and bags, is seeking an Assistant Dock Foreman to join our team in Vineland, NJ. This position will oversee and support dock operations by verifying shipments, organizing staging areas, preparing accurate documentation, handling materials and equipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Available Shifts (Full Time – 40 hours)

• 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Responsibilities & Duties

• Check and verify incoming and outgoing loads to ensure accuracy. Note any discrepancies and damages.
• Maintain a well-organized staging area. Direct the staging of loads to minimize the loading and unloading times and maximize the flow of goods in and out of the dock area.
• Gather and complete proper paperwork and audit tags for each pallet.
• Do "build-ups" of shipped materials. May require re-configuring, re-stacking and re-wrapping of pallets to meet shipping requirements.
• Operate a forklift and assist other material handlers in a fast-paced dock environment daily.
• Ensure that staff strictly adheres to all safety rules, guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure that the dock area and dock wells are swept, dusted and cleaned at end of shift.

Minimum Requirements
