Job summary

CANPACK US is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of the Production Department in a fast-paced plant. This hands-on role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-time delivery to customers while guiding a team of operators.

You will read schedules, implement efficient procedures, train staff, monitor performance, and maintain records. The position requires strong leadership in a high-speed manufacturing environment and a commitment to continuous improvement and food

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with at least 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Proved track record of leading and mentoring others.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products - SAP experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety, environmental and product safety policies; maintains housekeeping and validates inspections.
• Reads and analyzes production schedules to determine requirements and evaluates outputs.
• Implements work procedures, processes and standards to support goals and objectives.
• Maintains production, spoilage, and maintenance records and completes shift end reports.
• Trains and directs operators on machine set-up and operation procedures.
• Inspects materials, products, and equipment for defects; coordinates resources to address issues.
• Supports development, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the food safety program.
• Maintains process quality in accordance with customer and plant standards.
• Serves as the plant facilitator during designated periods as directed by management.
• Conducts periodic reviews of employee performance and development.
• Maintains attendance, evaluation and other necessary records.
• Schedules overtime, job assignments, vacations and holidays.
• Ensures a positive and productive work environment across the crew and plant.
• Performs any other duties as required.
