Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. seeks a capable supervisor to lead a team of about twenty in a corrugated box production setting. You will ensure quality, efficiency, and timely packaging for next steps or customer specs, while enforcing safety and company policies.

You will coordinate with plant leadership, train staff, and manage performance, coaching and resolving issues to maintain high morale and productivity across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years experience at a skilled level position (Operator).
• Four years experience in the corrugated box industry.
• Clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
• College and/or related technical courses preferred.
• One year supervisory experience managing at least twelve people.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately twenty people in daily setup, run, and packaging tasks.
• Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management.
• Oversee box checks and ensure accuracy of output.
• Coordinate with Plant Superintendents and Maintenance on repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Cross-train employees in key positions.
• Lead weekly Production/Safety meetings with department personnel.
• Enforce corrective action procedures and document outcomes.
• Process paperwork completely and accurately.
• Improve career skills through seminars and related coursework with manager approval.
• Lead and develop staff to advance performance and morale.
