Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a Plant Manager to lead all departments with supervisors to ensure safety, quality, and efficient production. You will coordinate production, distribution and warehousing while implementing plans for optimal use of materials, machines and staff.

The role requires strong experience in corrugated manufacturing, proven leadership, and the ability to review costs and drive profitability. Responsibilities include budgeting, HR records, and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus college and/or appropriate technical courses.
• Five years experience as a proven manager.
• Ten years corrugated manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads all departments in the plant with department supervisors (or production manager) to maintain safety, quality, and efficient production.
• Coordinates production, distribution, and warehousing in accordance with policies, principles, and established procedures.
• Develops and implements plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees.
• Reviews production costs and product quality, and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.
• Directs preparation of production, human resources and labor/costs records.
• Recommends budgets to management.
• Assists management in negotiation of employee contracts.
• Maintains positive working relationship with sales management and customer service management.
• Systematically reviews financial performance of the plant to recommend to management opportunities for sales growth and cost savings.
• Coordinates plant safety, environmental and training activities in cooperation with the Human Resources Department.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
