Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. in Cedar Hill, TX seeks a Production Supervisor to lead a ~10-person team in daily board production. You will maintain quality and efficiency, enforce safety policies, and coordinate with maintenance while communicating standards to staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and two years of supervisory experience; experience in corrugated can be preferred. Insurance benefits available after one month.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory experience preferred; directs staff in a manufacturing setting.
• Prior work in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedures; enforce policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise about ten employees in daily production of board, with safety emphasis.
• Maintain quality, efficiency and production levels per management; communicate standards.
• Report quality concerns to Plant Superintendent; assist in setting guidelines.
• Build engagement and morale; maintain confidentiality and fairness.
• Manage inventories of rollstock and corrugator supplies.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with supervisors.
• Inform upper management of issues affecting department performance.
• Enforce corrective action procedures and lead related meetings.
• Conduct weekly Production/Safety meetings; collaborate across shifts.
• Support policies, safety programs and housekeeping; participate in seminars.
