Job summary

Pure Ground Ingredients, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead plant production activities, ensuring quality products at minimal cost in line with schedules and policies.

The role requires overseeing capacity utilization, scheduling, and coordinating with Maintenance and Quality to uphold product standards, safety, and training needs for team members. The position emphasizes continuous improvement and cost control in a growing organic ingredients company.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HR principles and practices.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaker required).
• Proven track record of training employees in productivity and safety.
• Experience coaching and mentoring individuals or teams.
• Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct plant production activities to meet quality and cost targets.
• Plan, organize and schedule resources to minimize losses.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed.
• Coordinate with Maintenance on equipment selection and uptime.
• Ensure product standards with Quality dept; implement QC programs.
• Enforce health and safety guidelines and train team members.

PGI is a growing organic herb/spice/botanical importing and production company that utilizes extensive food safety, handling and management practices to ensure a quality product.

Production Supervisor Position Summary: Is accountable for directing plant production activities to produce quality products, at the lowest cost, consistent with company schedules and policies to fulfill customer requirements. Controls and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability. Oversee the production process Identify internal and external resources needed; Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed; Partner with Maintenance in the equipment selection process Monitor product standards in partnership with Quality dept requirements; implement quality-control programs; Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed; - Identify training and development needs for team members. Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
• Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
