Job summary

Pure Ground Ingredients, Inc. in Nevada, a growing organic herb, spice and botanical producer, seeks a Production Supervisor to direct plant production and meet quality and cost goals. The role emphasizes safety, scheduling, budgeting, and collaboration with Maintenance and Quality teams.

PGI is a growing organic herb/spice/botanical importing and production company that utilizes extensive food safety, handling and management practices to ensure a quality product.

Production Supervisor

Position Summary: Is accountable for directing plant production activities to produce quality products, at the lowest cost, consistent with company schedules and policies to fulfill customer requirements.

• Controls and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability.
• Oversee the production process
• Identify internal and external resources needed;
• Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed; Partner with Maintenance in the equipment selection process
• Monitor product standards in partnership with Quality dept requirements; implement quality-control programs;
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed;
• Identify training and development needs for team members.

2 years' experience as a Production/Operations Supervisor

• Bilingual (Spanish Speaker is required)
• Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety
• Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
• Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
• Knowledge of raw materials, Knowledge of quality systems and standards, Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance
