Job summary

Pure Ground Ingredients, Inc. is seeking a quality technician to support our Nevada facility. You will collect product samples, perform in-house analyses, and coordinate with testing labs and customers.

Maintain organized records, support sanitation, and ensure adherence to SOPs and food safety regulations. The role involves reviewing test results, contributing to COAs, and reporting non-conformances. A High School diploma or GED and basic math/computer skills are required, with preferred

Qualifications

• Experience in a food manufacturing facility or quality role preferred.
• Basic math skills (percentages, fractions) required.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Collect product samples and send to testing or customers; perform in-house analysis.
• Maintain and organize samples and paperwork.
• Perform sanitation inspections and calibration checks on equipment.
• Communicate quality concerns across departments and adhere to SOPs and regulations.
• Identify food safety/quality issues and report non-conformances.

Job description

Job Duties:

• Collecting product samples, sending samples out for testing or to customers, and performing in house analysis


• Maintaining and organizing samples and incoming material paperwork


• Perform sanitation inspections on equipment


• Perform calibration checks on equipment


• Communicate with other departments on quality related concerns


• Practice and adhere to the established standard operating procedures and policies


• Adhere to regulations on food safety, food quality, and good manufacturing practices


• Identify and report food safety and quality issues (non conformances/out of specification product)


• Work with management to maintain food safety and food quality, and communicate any related concerns


• Complete paperwork and sampling in a timely manner


• General filing for Quality Department


• Ensure required documentation is filled out clearly and accurately, following good documentation practices


• Review test results and assist with generating certificate of analysis on released batches


• Assist with recording and tracking test result data


• Maintain a clean and organized work area


• Dress out in company supplied PPE as required in designated areas


• Perform other duties as needed

• High School diploma or GED


• Experience working in a food manufacturing facility or experience in quality preferred


• Perform basic math functions: add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages, fractions


• Computer literate using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
