Client Overview

Our client is a well-established and growing company within the manufacturing industry is looking to add a Production Supervisor to their growing team. The organization values safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate

$40/hr - $45/hr

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor will lead a team of production employees on the shop floor to ensure daily output, quality, and safety goals are achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role that involves planning production activities, troubleshooting in real time, and coaching team members to foster a high-performance culture.

Responsibilities Of The Production Supervisor

• Supervise daily operations in a transmission assembly environment, assigning tasks and managing workloads to meet production and delivery goal.
• Enforce compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards while identifying and addressing quality issues through corrective actions.
• Collaborate with scheduling, warehouse, quality control, and HR teams to align on priorities, workforce planning, and continuous improvement.
• Train and develop team members, provide performance feedback, and support performance management efforts.
• Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, and labor usage; lead lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S and Kaizen and support modern technology rollout.
  
  

Required Experience/Skills for the Production Supervisor:

• 10 years of experience in a production role.
• Minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory position.
• Proven mechanical aptitude with strong critical thinking skills.
  
  

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Production Supervisor:

• Experience in a small business or business unit leadership environment.
• Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement certifications.
• Experience managing KPIs and driving team performance based on metrics.
  
  

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field preferred but not required.
