Jobtailor in North Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize large-scale manufacturing operations for pumps and related equipment. You will manage production and assembly teams, drive KPIs, ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and align resources with demand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, industrial or related discipline.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing operations in an industrial equipment environment.
  • Minimum five years of management experience.
  • Familiarity with marine class societies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MRP/ERP software, and project management tools.

Job description


  • Lead production and assembly teams and activities in production/assembly processing areas

  • Plan, direct, and monitor production groups to meet production goals while maintaining safety, quality, specifications, schedules, volume, cost, and loss targets

  • Liaise with Safety, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, Facilities, EHS, QC, and other departments

  • Develop production schedules, manage change, and allocate labor and capital resources

  • Drive KPIs across production and assembly areas

  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, to high quality standards, within budget guidelines and strict deadlines

  • Provide team leadership during change and production ramp-up

  • Optimize efficiency and resource utilization, increase safety, minimize costs, and maintain quality standards

  • Build and develop a strong production team through servant leadership, training, mentoring, and clear vision

  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Influence adoption of practices and approaches

  • Communicate technological changes and potential supply impacts, providing recommendations and solutions

  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and communicate impacts on manufacturing activities

  • Supervise precision manufacturing/assembly, production control, material management, manufacturing engineering, tools and equipment maintenance, 5S and lean practices, communications, training, mentoring, quality, and workmanship


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, manufacturing, industrial or related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing operations in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment

  • Minimum five years of management experience

  • Familiarity with marine class societies is a plus

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, MRP/ERP software, and Project Management software

  • Knowledge of raw materials, manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of pumps and turbo expander products

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of resources

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work independently, and be detail-oriented and thorough

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage and complete duties and projects on time and within budget

  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary

  • Specific vision abilities including close vision and ability to adjust focus
