Job summary

Blue Rhino is seeking a 2nd Shift Full-Time Production Specialist to work 6:00pm–4:30am outdoors in a team setting. You will handle 40 lb cylinders, perform washing, labeling, painting, and quality checks, and move cylinders through the line with care for safety and efficiency.

Growth is possible with clear progression from Level I to II and Sr level, accompanied by strong benefits and a supportive work culture at Ferrellgas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions (written and verbal).
• Willingness to work OT as needed.
• Must be capable of lifting 35 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Operate washer functions and conveyor processes for cylinders.
• Dispatch cylinders to paint, fill, or rework stations.
• Perform paint line operations and related handling tasks.
• Operate equipment like Shot Blast, Tare weight entry, Capper, and Stacker.
• Check for leaks and weight/sleeve issues; ensure quality at all steps.
• Stack finished products and support quality assurance efforts.
• Be prepared to lift up to 35 pounds in varying weather.

This is a hands-on, labor-intensive role where you’ll frequently lift and stack 40 lb. propane cylinders while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Every cylinder you handle is cleaned, leak-tested, and inspected, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers. Pay

With consistent learning and strong performance, you can quickly advance from Level I to Level II and up to Senior Level. Below is the pay scale that shows your opportunity for growth:

Responsibilities

• Performs Washer functions which include placing cylinders on conveyer belt, sorting, removing sleeve and peeling label.
• Cylinders dispatch to paint, fill, or rework stations.
• Completes Paint Line operations which include loading cylinders in tank hanger, applying paint bag applicator, and unloading tank hanger.
• Operates Shot Blast, Tare weight entry station, Capper (data code label), and Stacker (palletizing).
• Manually checks for leaks, weight problems, or sleeve malfunctions.
• Performs cylinder refurb operations based on workstation.
• Stacks finished product.
• Checks for quality assurance.
• Some positions may require the ability to lift 35 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Possess integrity and a good work ethic.
• Demonstrated ability to be punctual, dependable, and reliable.
• Ability to work overtime, as required
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions, both written and verbal.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work in the United States
