Job summary

Blue Rhino, a Ferrellgas company, is hiring a Full-Time Production Specialist in Texas. This hands-on role involves lifting cylinders, working outdoors, and performing washer, paint line, and stacker duties with safety as a priority.

You will contribute to a safety-focused team with growth opportunities from Production Specialist I to II and Senior levels, earning $18–$20 per hour and advancing as performance supports learning.

Qualifications

• Must have a strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
• Able to work overtime as required by production needs.
• Able to understand basic written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform Washer functions and place cylinders on the conveyor belt.
• Dispatch cylinders to paint, fill, or rework stations.
• Complete Paint Line operations and load/unload cylinders.
• Operate Shot Blast, Tare weight entry station, Capper, and Stacker.
• Check for leaks, weight issues, or sleeve malfunctions.
• Undertake cylinder refurb operations as directed.
• Stack finished product and assist quality checks.
• May be required to lift up to 35 pounds repeatedly outdoors.

This is a hands-on, labor-intensive role where you’ll frequently lift and stack 40 lb. propane cylinders while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Every cylinder you handle is cleaned, leak-tested, and inspected, ensuring the safety and satisfaction of our customers. Schedule: 5:00am - 3:30pm

Pay: With consistent learning and strong performance, you can quickly advance from Level I to Level II and up to Senior Level. Below is the pay scale that shows your opportunity for growth:

Responsibilities

• Performs Washer functions which include placing cylinders on conveyer belt, sorting, removing sleeve and peeling label.
• Cylinders dispatch to paint, fill, or rework stations.
• Completes Paint Line operations which include loading cylinders in tank hanger, applying paint bag applicator, and unloading tank hanger.
• Operates Shot Blast, Tare weight entry station, Capper (data code label), and Stacker (palletizing).
• Manually checks for leaks, weight problems, or sleeve malfunctions.
• Performs cylinder refurb operations based on workstation.
• Stacksfinished product.
• Checks for quality assurance.
• Some positions may require the ability to lift 35 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Possess integrity and a good work ethic.
• Demonstrated ability to be punctual, dependable, and reliable.
• Ability to work overtime, as required
• Ability to understand basic technical instructions, both written and verbal.
