Job summary

RRD is seeking a manufacturing/operations associate in Buffalo Grove, IL. The role focuses on guiding employees, auditing processes, and ensuring production quality and safety standards are met. Requires basic computer skills and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives.
• May supervise junior staff and review work for accuracy.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office and MAC word processing; proficiency with spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.
• Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees and direct them to the appropriate manager regarding policy questions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures; report problems or hazardous situations to management.
• Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve production samples and/or shipments as necessary.
• Assist management with implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records; compile standard reports, file, tabulate, and perform routine clerical tasks.
• Attend production meetings and coordinate production activities with other departments as needed.
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and/or guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood.
