Job summary

RR Donnée? RR Donnelley is seeking a first-shift/2nd shift supervisor in St. Charles, IL to lead manufacturing activities. You will guide employees, audit processes, and ensure safety and quality standards are met across shifts.

The role requires 2+ years in manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to manage shift schedules and performance metrics. Competitive hourly pay and full benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Proficient with MS Office and MAC word processing.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across departments.
• Strong organizational skills with deadlines and workload prioritization.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 lb, frequently up to 50 lb, rarely over 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes to meet production specs.
• Maintain positive relationships; direct employees to the appropriate manager for policy questions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, policies and procedures; report problems to management.
• Inspect products/shipments to verify conformance to specs.
• Review and approve machine setups, production samples, and shipments as needed.
• Identify opportunities for continual improvement and attend production meetings as required.
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and guests to ensure safety and quality.
• Ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and achieved.
• May oversee junior staff and review/audit work for accuracy.
• May update shift schedules in time/attendance system and enter attendance data.
• Share expertise and train others as assigned.
• Other duties as delegated by management.
