Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in food processing, seafood processing, or a related field.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks (lifting, standing)
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Basic math to weigh and measure seafood products
• Attention to detail and ability to follow safety guidelines
• Strong hygiene practices and knowledge of food safety regulations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production quotas while maintaining quality
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist lead in essential functions of two or more production lines.
• May help train new hire processors on the line.
• Clean, sort, and prepare seafood for processing per procedures and safety guidelines.
• Remove shells, scales, bones, and unwanted parts with specialized tools.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Follow proper handling and storage to prevent contamination.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals safely.
• Report equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and industry standards.
