Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience communicating across departments and taking initiative to production challenges.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate production planning to meet site capacity, including modifying and adapting production scheduling, issuing run lists, production related paperwork, and issuing order amendments to accommodate revisions.
• Manage communication between manufacturing, planning, supply chain, and customer service to maintain backlog upstream and downstream material flow.
• Develop a Production Scheduling process to achieve efficient utilization of machine capacities; work with manufacturing and buyer/planner.
• Prepare future forecasting for production schedules to optimize efficiency and throughput and adjust to changes.
• Upon review of sales orders, establish production schedules for multiple pieces of equipment related to the manufacturing process.
• Ensure proper daily and weekly allocation to production equipment based on throughput capacity.
• Work with manufacturing manager and leads to plan workloads to meet business output requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement, customer service, supply chain, and operations for timely coil purchasing and delivery adjustments.
• Ensure shift capacities are reviewed hourly and closures when capacities are exceeded.
• Maintain daily and weekly productivity records and throughput capacity data.
• Maintain service offer and ensure it is up to date and understood.
• Daily communication with customer service about orders and production schedules.
• Identify process capabilities to increase efficiencies at start of each day.
• Schedule DARs to support order fulfillments and maintain DAR log.
• Review shifts after production rolling to ensure all orders are rolled; report issues promptly.
• Support SAP in production recording and allocation issues.
• Participate in stock takes and cycle counting as required.
• Responsible for coil inventory during bi-annual inventory; manage cycle count processing.
• Collaborate with teams to reduce overtime while meeting production times and dates.
• Monitor costs and plan improvements related to scrap, overtime, and manning utilization.
• Back up coil claims processing with SAP and coordinate with vendor.
