POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the CFO, the Production Scheduler will develop / improve scheduling models as well as perform data analysis to improve the overall production performance and to meet the needs of the customer and LMI Packaging.
The Production Scheduler will recommend improvements to existing systems and processes to drive supply chain optimization across the end-to-end supply chain network. The Production Scheduler will coordinate with other associates cross-functionally to implement changes and new system models to support strategic, tactical, and execution plans. The overall goal of the Production Scheduler is to ensure the manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently while meeting corporate KPIs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling of manufacturing operations.
Assist with performance measurements of KPI’s as well as root cause analysis and gap closure recommendations.
Maintain understanding of materials, sizes, and product segments.
Oversee the purchasing of supplies, such as boxes, tubes and pallets; maintain relationship with suppliers
Creates, maintains, and develops scheduling models with Excel for print presses and die cut finishing that minimizes asset downtime.
Proactively schedule to ensure we exceed customer expectations on delivery and maintain On Time Delivery metric exceeding 98%
Collaborate cross functionally to gain proficient understanding of all internal customer and supplier responsibilities.
Shared responsibility for inventory accuracy, which includes participating in cycle counting of the material.
Perform data analysis and create reports requested by outside sales and management.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
3+ years Production Scheduling experience.
Experience in SIOP systems and processes.
High School diploma or general education degree required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel
Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
