Job Description

Responsible for executing the production planning as directed by the Master Production Planner to meet delivery to the customer's request date. This includes daily scheduling for assigned production areas, including production order releasing with an understanding of production capacity. This is a 1st Shift position; hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Responsibilities

1. Release and follow up on production orders, ensuring proper scheduling according to customer needs.
2. Attend daily Production Meetings for schedule updates.
3. Communicate cycle time issues on production orders to manufacturing associates.
4. Use SAP COOIS reporting to determine planning versus capacity.
5. Monitor SAP data to review production capacity and demand, guiding efforts to meet delivery commitments.
6. Update Team Coordinators on ongoing activities to prevent errors and delays.
7. Perform problem solving of low and medium complexity using 8D's and 4-step methods.
8. Collaborate with cycle counting, planning, and purchasing to resolve component shortages.
9. Support continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Wear required protective equipment at all times.
11. Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Background & Skills

• High School/GED with proven manufacturing production scheduling experience.
• Thorough knowledge of product/process in all responsibility areas.
• Understanding of production systems.
• Dependability and positive attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.

Work Environment

Work involves near moving mechanical parts, occasional exposure to humid conditions, and moderate noise levels.
