Job Description Summary
The Production Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production quality inspection team for HV instrument transformers and HV circuit breakers. This role ensures that all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements. On top of the primary function, the supervisor will collaborate with senior technical personnel to design and implement comprehensive quality audits and drive enhancements across manufacturing processes to elevate product quality and operational efficiency.
Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule daily activities of the production quality inspection team.
  • Participate in production meetings to review and discuss ongoing manufacturing activities, identify potential quality risks, and propose solutions to enhance product quality.
  • Serve as the designated quality expert during daily Gemba walks to assess and monitor adherence to quality standards.
  • Coordinate weekly manufacturing quality audits to verify compliance of processes and products with internal and external standards.
  • Analyze quality control data from production to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives based on audit findings and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with production teams to discuss audit findings and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Tools/RCA to address non-conformities and facilitate problem resolution.
  • Conduct and facilitate training sessions on advanced quality concepts and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all manufacturing and quality procedures.
  • Assist the Customer Care team in investigating and resolving product failures at customer sites.
  • Lead and support small to medium quality improvement projects in collaboration with senior technical personnel.
  • Participate in and support Kaizen and other continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field or High School Diploma / GED with minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electrical or high-voltage products.
  • Proven experience in supervising or leading a team for at least 5 years.
