Quality Control Manager – Production-Focused Leadership

We’re hiring a Quality Control Manager with a strong production mindset—someone who can lead from the floor and bring deep quality expertise to a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. If you're a production-driven leader with a background in food or pet food quality systems, this role is your chance to make a major impact.

What You'll Do:

• Act as a production-first quality leader, ensuring food safety and quality standards are embedded across the operation
• Enforce compliance with internal policies, quality systems, GMPs, and regulatory standards (21 CFR 507, 113)
• Lead risk assessments and develop appropriate food safety controls
• Build and manage a high-performing QC team, providing coaching, training, and support
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality performance and continuous improvement
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure quality standards are upheld during all stages of production
• Drive the development and implementation of quality strategies, policies, and procedures that ensure consistent product excellence

What You Bring:

• 5–15 years of experience in food or beverage quality control, with 5+ years in a supervisory/leadership role
• Strong foundation in GMPs (for human or pet food manufacturing)
• BS or MS in Food Science or related field (Meat Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, etc.)
• Pet food experience is a strong plus
• Proven ability to lead from the floor—production-focused, hands-on, and decisive
• A passion for continuous improvement, team development, and delivering safe, high-quality products
