Job Details:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor (DE + LAPP/SAR) to join our team. Your role will involve evaluating loan applications for creditworthiness and compliance, utilizing your DE, LAPP, and SAR certifications to endorse FHA and VA loans. This is a full-time remote position offering excellent work-life balance and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and analyze loan applications and documents to ensure compliance with standards.
2. Utilize your DE and LAPP/SAR certifications to endorse FHA and VA loans.
3. Make decisions on loan approvals and denials based on thorough analysis and regulations.
4. Provide feedback to loan officers and processors.
5. Collaborate with the processing team to resolve issues.
6. Stay updated on policy and regulation changes.
7. Train and guide junior underwriters and team members.
8. Participate in team meetings and process improvements.
9. Supervise a team of underwriters.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor.
• DE and LAPP/SAR certifications.
• Proficiency in underwriting FHA and VA loans.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage regulations.
• Experience reviewing complex financial documents.
• Decision-making skills under pressure.
• Effective communication skills, especially in remote settings.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Organizational skills and multitasking ability.
• Proficiency with mortgage loan software.
