Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a motivated Production Planner to join our Operations team in an onsite role in Fremont, CA. This entry-level position offers growth in manufacturing, supply chain, and production planning.

The role supports scheduling, inventory monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure on-time delivery and efficient planning processes.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, inventory control, supply chain, logistics or scheduling.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics or similar).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand and inventory requirements.
• Release and monitor work orders to support on-time production and shipment goals.
• Coordinate daily with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Customer Service teams.
• Track production progress and communicate schedule changes or potential delays.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify material shortages that could impact production.
• Maintain accurate planning data and transactions within the ERP system.
• Generate reports and assist with analyzing production performance, inventory trends, and scheduling efficiency.
• Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Assist with forecasting and capacity planning activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning and operational processes.
• Ensure planning activities are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
