Job summary

IEM is seeking a Production Controller in Fremont, CA to support the Production Department by coordinating activities for optimal utilization and on-time delivery of products.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Operations and requires 100% in-office presence. Ideal candidates have a background in supply chain or operations, with ERP and MS Office proficiency to help mitigate production risks and improve scheduling across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations or a related field; 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree considered
• Co-op or internship experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Teams, Outlook) and understanding of ERP workflows
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to coordinate across all levels of the organization
• Organizational skills to manage tasks, schedules, and resources effectively
• Interpersonal skills to build rapport with team members and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Monitor WIP and communicate schedule changes to accommodate delays or recoveries
• Track and report production status as needed
• Identify bottlenecks and help implement solutions to meet delivery deadlines
• Support Production Planners and schedulers with coordination
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, quality, maintenance and other departments
• Generate and maintain weekly production reports
• Document history and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Adhere to safety guidelines and scheduling policies; perform additional duties as needed
