Short Intro and About the Job

Danone North America is looking to hire a Production Operator based in Portland, Oregon, where we manufacture frozen yogurt and ice cream! In this role, you will be trained in filling, sanitation, and flavoring. You will operate within production shifts.

Why work here?

Sign-on bonus: $1000 paid in 2 installments ($500 at 90 days and $500 at 6 months)

• Starting wage of $25.14 per hour
• Swing Shift: 3 pm - 1:30 am on 4x10's; or 2 pm - 10:30 pm on 5x8's
• Monday through Thursday on 4x10's and Monday - Friday on 5x8's
• Pay for Performance: annual incentive bonus
• Excellent benefits package

In this role, you will support the manufacturing plant by primarily being responsible for upholding the safety, quality, and accuracy of product flavoring, filling, packaging, and sanitation.

Responsibilities include:

• Mixing ingredients using formulas provided by R&D
• Maintaining flavor documentation on batch sheets from R&D
• Monitoring proper product into packaging
• Monitoring supply of packaging materials to meet production demands
• Performing cleaning and sanitizing of circuits, pipes, tanks, valves, and related equipment
• Coordinating with operators and pasteurizers to manage tank space
• Reviewing and interpreting CIP data; troubleshooting CIP issues
• Verifying bulk milk and sugar documentation, tank space, and receiving raw ingredients according to procedures
• Operating powered industrial trucks (forklifts)

About You

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus
