We are currently seeking a Chemical Production Operator for our Portland, OR location. Reporting to the Chemical Production Supervisor, this entry-level to experienced role involves manufacturing and processing resins, complying with HSE regulations and company policies to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Pay: $23.88/hr (Entry Level - Operator E) to $31.38/hr (Fully Trained - Operator A)

Responsibilities

• Manufacture resin safely, following procedures and HSE requirements.
• Unload/load raw materials and finished products using various transport methods.
• Operate forklifts for material handling.
• Coordinate with management to meet production and shipping schedules.
• Complete shipping documents and adhere to regulations.
• Participate in safety committees and follow site safety rules.
• Monitor processes and report deviations or abnormalities.
• Work with the team to meet production and maintenance goals.
• Communicate with team members to resolve process issues.
• Respond to alarms and perform troubleshooting.
• Perform in-process quality checks using laboratory equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, with possible rotation.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Mechanical and analytical skills.
• Previous chemical or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Compliance with safety guidelines and PPE use.
• Physical ability to lift 55 lbs, stand, walk, and climb.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Experience with automated systems is advantageous.
