Job summary

Kelly Services is seeking a Production Operator III to perform soldering, assembly, testing, finishing, and packing on a variety of products. The role requires working with close tolerances and quality standards, with a 3rd shift after an initial training period on 1st shift.

Training is 90–100 days, after which the employee transitions to the 3rd shift. The position emphasizes teamwork, readiness to train others, and adherence to safety and quality practices within a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be eligible to work under ITAR compliance.
  • Manufacturing experience with soldering is a plus.
  • Completed ESD training and J-STD-001 solder certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics is a plus.
  • Proficient in the safe and correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering irons, and power tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified soldering operations, including torch and iron soldering.
  • Assemble a variety of products with close tolerances and quality requirements.
  • Operate equipment required to assemble products.
  • Read blueprints and schematics and verify parts meet specifications with measuring tools.
  • Finish relays with nameplates, decals and detailing.
  • Pack and ship finished products.
  • Potting and encapsulation operations.
  • Collaborate in a team and train other employees as needed.

PRODUCTION OPERATOR III

3rd Shift | 9:30 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. | $19.80/hour

Training Schedule- 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. (Pay Rate- $18.00/hourly)

Position Overview

We are seeking an Assembler to perform soldering, assembly, testing, finishing, and packing operations on a variety of products. The successful candidate will work accurately with close tolerances, follow quality requirements, and contribute effectively in a team environment.

Important scheduling note: The worker will train on 1st shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) for approximately 90–100 days before moving to the 3rd shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diversified soldering operations, including torch and iron soldering.
  • Perform diversified assembly on a variety of products involving numerous parts, close tolerances, and interrelated factors.
  • Operate all equipment required to assemble a variety of products.
  • Read blueprints and wire schematics and use a wide variety of measurement instruments to verify that parts meet quality specifications.
  • Finish relays with nameplates, decals, hardware, stamps, touch-up paint, and other required details.
  • Perform packing and shipping duties.
  • Perform potting and encapsulation operations.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, including work sharing, team problem-solving, and shared responsibility.
  • Train other employees as needed.

  • Must be eligible to work under ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance.
  • Manufacturing experience with soldering is a plus.
  • Completed ESD training and J-STD-001 solder certification preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and wire schematics is a plus.
  • Proficient in the safe and correct use of measuring instruments, hand tools, soldering irons, and power tools.
