Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a production operator to ensure only quality-approved product is packaged for customers. The role involves operating extrusion or molding lines, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing to keep lines running efficiently and meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; training or certification in relevant skill or trade preferred.
• 1–2 years experience in a relevant field.
• Must read and follow Standard Work Instructions.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Read Production Schedule boards and perform work as assigned by shift supervisor.
• Inspect, feed, and/or pack product for WIP or finished product.
• Maintain standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines.
• Detect quality defects in molded parts, trim the molded part and assemble the molded part.
• Ensure that product has appropriate Lot Information printed on each product.
• Build/assemble boxes.
• Attach appropriate labels to boxes.
• Notify supervisor of any safety, quality, mechanical, or material issues.
• Completes production documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
• Notify Management/Supervisor of any quality or equipment issues.
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
