Job summary

Westlake Chemical Corporation is seeking a manufacturing/packaging operator to ensure only quality-approved product is packaged for customers. The role involves extrusion or molding support, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing while keeping lines running efficiently.

You will read production schedules, inspect products, perform basic labeling and packing tasks, and document production activities on shift. Physical stamina for 8–12 hour shifts and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to perform simple calculations.
• Ability to distinguish colors visually for quality checks.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure compliant packaging and labeling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure only quality-approved product is packaged for customers.
• Read production schedules and follow shift supervisor directions.
• Inspect, feed, and/or pack product for WIP or finished goods.
• Maintain standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines.
• Detect quality defects in molded parts, trim and assemble as needed.
• Ensure Lot Information is printed correctly on each product.
• Build/assemble boxes and attach labels.
• Notify supervisor of safety, quality, mechanical, or material issues.
• Complete production documentation and records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
• Report any quality or equipment issues to management.
