Job summary

Westlake Chemical in Elkland, PA is seeking a production operator to ensure only quality-approved product is packaged. This role involves extrusion or injection molding processes, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing to keep lines running efficiently and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include reading schedules, performing assigned tasks, inspecting and packing product, and completing production documentation while adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing/production environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Read Production Schedule boards and perform work as assigned by shift supervisor.
• Inspect, feed, and/or pack product for WIP or finished product.
• Maintain standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines.
• Detect quality defects in molded parts, trim and assemble molded parts.
• Ensure that product has appropriate Lot Information printed on each product.
• Build/assemble boxes and attach labels to boxes.
• Notify supervisor of any safety, quality, mechanical, or material issues.
• Complete production documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
• Notify Management/Supervisor of any quality or equipment issues.
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility.
