Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a production operator to ensure quality-approved product is packaged for customers. The role covers extrusion or injection molding oversight, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing to keep lines running smoothly and efficiently.

The position requires standing for 8–12 hour shifts, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic math, and color discernment. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred; 1–2 years in a related field is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related trade training preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math and read production schedules.
• Excellent color vision for part inspection.
• Teamwork and adaptability in a 8–12 hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect, feed, and pack product for WIP or finished goods.
• Maintain standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines.
• Detect quality defects, trim and assemble molded parts.
• Ensure correct lot information printed on each product.
• Document production activities and notify supervisor of issues.
• Support packaging and labeling as needed.
