Job summary

Westlake Chemical is seeking a production operator to ensure only quality-approved product is packaged for customers. You will oversee extrusion or injection molding operations, weathering, trimming, inspection, and packing to keep lines running smoothly and produce product meeting customer expectations.

The role requires reading production schedules, performing basic math, identifying color defects, labeling boxes, and completing production documentation.

Qualifications

• Reads Production Schedule boards and performs work as assigned.
• Performs basic math and maintains accurate documentation.
• Distinguishes colors visually for quality checks.
• Works under safety policies and follows standard work instructions.
• Shows teamwork and reliability on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure only quality-approved product is packed for customers.
• Inspect, feed, and pack product for WIP or finished goods.
• Maintain standard production cycles on nonrobotic molding machines.
• Detect defects, trim parts, and assemble molded components.
• Label boxes and ensure lot information is printed correctly.
• Notify supervisor of safety, quality, or equipment issues.
• Complete production documentation and keep accurate records.
• Adhere to shift schedule and be flexible with attendance.
