GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Production Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely. There are three levels (I, II, III), determined by experience and ability to troubleshoot independently. The role involves operating production equipment, including industrial blenders, according to the schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform work safely by following all safety rules and procedures.
2. Operate and maintain assigned machines following standard procedures.
3. Meet or exceed production output rates.
4. Ensure product meets specifications and tolerances.
5. Perform routine quality inspections.
6. Understand and follow production instructions.
7. Maintain accurate paperwork and records.
8. Inspect equipment and materials to identify problems and ensure a safe environment.
9. Read work orders and formulas to meet production standards.
10. Weigh, measure, and add raw materials as per specifications.
11. Transfer materials and discharges as needed.
12. Ensure quality and conformity of blended products.
13. Set up, clean, sanitize, and operate equipment properly before, during, and after runs.
14. Complete cleaning logs and notify quality control for hygiene testing.
15. Record operational data and report malfunctions.
16. Participate in ongoing quality and operational assessments.
