Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation of various light and heavy scrapping and recycling equipment.
Essential Functions
- Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, with scheduling flexibility.
- Promote a zero-injury safety culture through safety leadership.
- Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Set up and operate machines for routine work.
- Process treatment of materials.
- Monitor equipment for proper operation.
- Use specialized equipment appropriately.
- Help maintain a clean work environment.
- Identify recyclable materials for processing.
- Adjust, program, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Operate devices accurately.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

- Experience in a recycling or manufacturing facility.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
The employee should be able to:
- Handle noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
- Withstand temperature extremes.
- Stand or stay stationary for prolonged periods.
- Perform repetitive movements, bend, and twist.
- Lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Move around the facilities.
- Work around dust, chemicals, and environmental conditions.
