Job Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation of various light and heavy scrapping and recycling equipment.

Essential Functions
  • Comply with Westlake Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality, with scheduling flexibility.
  • Promote a zero-injury safety culture through safety leadership.
  • Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Set up and operate machines for routine work.
  • Process treatment of materials.
  • Monitor equipment for proper operation.
  • Use specialized equipment appropriately.
  • Help maintain a clean work environment.
  • Identify recyclable materials for processing.
  • Adjust, program, calibrate, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Operate devices accurately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
