Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Production Manager to ensure the assigned production area operates profitably and efficiently with quality.

You will supervise production supervisors, maintain safety compliance, manage line balancing, and monitor fulfillment of customer production and quality requirements. The role requires a Bachelor's or an Associate degree with significant manufacturing supervision experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of six (6) years of experience as a Production Supervisor in manufacturing environment or Associate degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience as a Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift (2:00PM-10:00PM, Monday-Friday) as well as weekend overtime as needed to support production. NOTE: Shift could change in the future based on business need.

Responsibilities

• Direct production supervisors in the plant and coordinate production work through familiarity with all manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a continual awareness of safety, quality, efficiency, scrap and production schedules.
• Motivate and direct the training of production supervisors. Train and develop individuals, instill a sense of responsibility, and evaluate progress.
• Analyze staffing requirements and study daily operating results to resolve production problems and coordinate interdepartmental cooperation.
