Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Production Manager to oversee a designated production area, ensuring profitability, quality, and safety. You will supervise supervisors, coordinate schedules, and drive continuous improvement across processes and teams.

The role requires strong leadership, lean manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to adapt to changing plant needs, with a focus on efficiency, training, and operational excellence. Competitive benefits and salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with six years of experience as a Production Supervisor in manufacturing, or an Associate degree with eight years in manufacturing, or equivalent.
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift (2:00PM-10:00PM, Monday-Friday) with weekend overtime as needed.
• Preferred: Lean manufacturing, 5S and Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct production supervisors and coordinate work across the plant.
• Maintain safety, quality, efficiency, and production schedules; monitor scrap and rework.
• Lead Kaizen, 5S, and lean initiatives to improve productivity and remove waste.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and document attendance and overtime requirements.
