Job summary

Johnson Controls in Texas seeks a Production Manager to oversee a 2nd shift, ensure safe and efficient operations, and lead continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. You will supervise production supervisors, manage staffing, and maintain quality while driving Lean initiatives and 5S practices.

A strong engineering or manufacturing background and a track record in production leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 6+ years as a Production Supervisor, or an Associate degree with 8+ years in manufacturing.
• Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work a 2nd shift (2:00PM-10:00PM) with weekend overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct production supervisors and coordinate work across manufacturing processes.
• Maintain safety, quality, efficiency, scrap, and production schedules.
• Train and develop production supervisors; evaluate progress and assign staff.
• Monitor staffing needs, daily results, and cross-department coordination.
• Ensure safe practices, OSHA compliance, and provide ongoing safety training.
• Lead Lean initiatives and 5S activities; drive continuous improvement and cost reductions.
