Job summary

District Photo Inc. is seeking a Production Manager for our Phoenix Factory to lead a fast-paced, high-volume operation. You will drive efficiency, quality, safety and profitability by coordinating daily production, scheduling, and staff development.

You will mentor front-line supervisors and operators, partner with HR on recruitment, manage capex input, and push continuous improvement across all lines while ensuring compliance and meeting delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline or equivalent
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing others in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Self-starter and able to execute initiatives with minimal guidance
• Proven success leading and motivating employees with consistent, fair methods
• Experience in training, developing, and providing direction to staff
• Demonstrated strategic decision making and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and influence decisions

Responsibilities

• Leads and is accountable for the department in a fast paced, deadline driven environment emphasizing efficiency, quality, and safety
• Develops leadership capabilities across all levels of the production organization
• Manages front line supervisors and operators
• Attend daily production meetings and drive continuous improvement
• Recruitment of new and replacement employees with HR support
• Motivate and develop employees to reach their potential
• Coordinate production scheduling for the area
• Cover other shifts or departments as needed
• Travel to trade shows or other facilities as required
• Provide input on capex decisions
• Ensure compliance with safety and health standards
