Job summary

Pure's Food Specialties, LLC. in Northlake, IL seeks an operations supervisor to manage all packaging lines under the shift supervisor.

You will ensure adherence to procedures, manage staff rotation, schedules, and attendance, and drive safe, efficient production. Responsibilities include coordinating with management to optimize production, evaluating hiring needs, training operators, maintaining equipment, and documenting downtime while enforcing quality and FDA guidelines to sustain high

Qualifications

• Experience directing employees and operating and diagnosing equipment.
• Good communication with direct reports and management.
• Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees packaging line operations under the shift supervisor.
• Ensure adherence to work procedures, rotation, schedules, and attendance.
• Evaluate and advise on hiring or termination decisions.
• Coordinate with management to optimize production activities.
• Train and coach operators to maintain high efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Maintain packaging equipment in good operating condition.
• Document downtime and lost efficiency; ensure quality guidelines are followed.
• Enforce FDA and company policies; support continuous improvement; maintain LOTO certification.

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.

• Oversees Shift supervisor to assure activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules

and attendance are executed

• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
• Document down time and lost efficiency
• Ensure quality guide lines for products are followed
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
• Assist with Continuous Improvement
• Maintain LOTO certification
• Review and assist with all quality control documents
• Ensure Food Safety of Production
• Communicates with all cross functional shift activities from other shifts to operations team on a daily

basis

• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by Manager

Experience: Must have experience in giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment

Preferred Skills

Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management
