Job summary

Pure Food Specialties' is seeking a responsible supervisor to oversee all packaging line operations under the shift supervisor. The role includes directing staff, coordinating with management for optimal production, enforcing safety policies, and maintaining equipment readiness.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, knowledge of FDA guidelines, and strong communication skills. Bilingual abilities are preferred, with a competitive benefits package provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates packaging line activities under supervisor.
• Evaluates and recommends hires/terminations.

• Enforces safety, break, and lunch policies.
• Tracks employee performance and applies disciplinary actions as needed.
• Train and coach operators to maintain high efficiency with minimal downtime.
• Ensure packaging equipment is operational and well maintained.
• Maintain a clean workplace with defined tasks for employees.
• Ensure quality guidelines are followed and FDA regulations complied with.
• Communicate daily across shifts to operations team.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.

• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and
• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
• Document down time and lost efficiency
• Ensure quality guidelines for products are followed
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
• Assist with Continuous Improvement
• Maintain LOTO certification
• Review and assist with all quality control documents
• Ensure Food Safety of Production
• Communicates with all cross functional shift activities from other shifts to operations team on a daily basis
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management

Educational Background: N/A

Experience: Must have experience in giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management
• Must have understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies. Mathematical skills,
