Job summary

Pures Food Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Supervisor to oversee all packaging lines under the shift supervisor. You will guide line staff, ensure safety, and maintain equipment readiness to optimize production efficiency on a fast-paced facility.

The role requires strong communication, adherence to FDA guidelines, and ability to train and mentor team members. A bilingual candidate is preferred to support diverse operations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment.
• Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management.
• Must have understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies.
• Mathematical skills
• Bilingual is preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate packaging line activities under the shift supervisor.
• Evaluate and recommend hires or terminations.
• Coordinate with management to maximize production efficiency.
• Enforce safety, break and lunch policies.
• Resolve concerns per company policies and standards of behavior.
• Track and communicate employee performance; apply disciplinary actions as needed.
• Train and coach operators to maintain high efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Ensure packaging equipment is in good operating condition.
• Assign tasks to keep a clean and organized workplace.
• Document downtime and lost efficiency for process improvement.
• Ensure compliance with quality guidelines for products.
• Enforce FDA and company guidelines; support Continuous Improvement.
• Maintain LOTO certification; review quality control documents.
• Communicate cross-function shift activities to operations daily.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.

• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and attendance
• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
• Document down time and lost efficiency
• Ensure quality guidelines for products are followed
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
• Assist with Continuous Improvement
• Maintain LOTO certification
• Review and assist with all quality control documents
• Ensure Food Safety of Production
• Communicates with all cross functional shift activities from other shifts to operations team on a daily basis
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management
