Job summary

Pures Food Specialties, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift to oversee all packaging lines and ensure efficient production through effective supervision, coaching, and adherence to safety and FDA guidelines.

Responsibilities include directing staff, coordinating with management, enforcing policy, and maintaining quality control while driving continuous improvement across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience directing employees and operating and diagnosing equipment.
• Willingness to stand 80% of the time and lift 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates packaging line activities and schedules.
• Evaluates and recommends hires or terminations as needed.
• Ensures production efficiency with management alignment.
• Enforces safety, break and lunch policies.
• Trains operators to maintain high line efficiency and low downtime.
• Monitors downtime, quality guidelines, and FDA/compliance requirements.
• Communicates cross-shift production activities to the operations team.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as required by management.

Operations of all packaging lines under the supervisor of the shift supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities such as work procedures, employee rotation, work schedules and
• Evaluates and recommends employees for hire or termination
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Enforce company safety, break & lunch policies
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Tracks and communicates employee performance and provides disciplinary / corrective action as needed
• Train and coach other operators and line employees to maintain high efficiency with minimal down time
• Coordinates with management to assure production activities are as efficient as possible
• Ensure all packaging equipment is in operational condition
• Establish tasks for employees to ensure a clean workplace
• Document down time and lost efficiency
• Ensure quality guide lines for products are followed
• Enforce all FDA and company guidelines
• Assist with Continuous Improvement
• Review and assist with all quality control documents
• Ensure Food Safety of Production
• Communicates with all cross functional shift activities from other shifts to operations team on a daily basis
• Perform miscellaneous duties as required by management

• Experience: Must have experience in giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management
• Must have understanding of FDA guide lines and company policies. Mathematical skills
• This position works in a manufacturing facility and requires standing, bending, climbing or walking 80% of the time
• Must frequently twist, bend, and stoop when performing work tasks.
• Frequently carry or lift 50 pounds or more.
