Job summary

Pure's Food Specialties, LLC in Melrose Park, IL, is seeking a shift supervisor to oversee all packaging line operations. You will supervise procedures, schedules, and employee rotation, while coordinating with management to keep production efficient and safe.

The role requires directing staff, enforcing FDA guidelines and company policies, training operators, and documenting performance. A bilingual candidate is preferred, with the ability to communicate across shifts and ensure high quality

Qualifications

• Experience directing employees and managing equipment operation.
• Strong communication with staff and management.
• Understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies; math skills.
• Bilingual ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates work procedures, schedules, and employee rotation.
• Ensures packaging equipment is operational and maintains clean workplace.
• Trains and coaches operators to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Enforces safety, break, and lunch policies; communicates daily with shifts.
• Reviews performance and takes disciplinary action as needed.
• Enforces all FDA and company guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Educational Background: N/A

Experience: Must have experience in giving direction to employees and operating and diagnosing equipment

Preferred Skills

Must be able to communicate with both direct report employees and management

Must have understanding of FDA guide lines and company policies. Mathematical skills

Bilingual is preferred

Work Environment & Physical demands

• This position works in a manufacturing facility and requires standing, bending, climbing or walking 80% of the time
• Must frequently twist, bend, and stoop when performing work tasks.
• Frequently carry or lift 50 pounds or more.
