Job summary

Pure's Food Specialties is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead packaging lines, coach staff, and ensure safe, efficient operations on the production floor. The role involves coordinating shifts, enforcing quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement across multiple departments.

You will supervise packaging operations, participate in training, and ensure compliance with FDA regulations and company policies while reporting to the Shift Manager.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading or directing employees in manufacturing/production.
  • Ability to supervise packaging lines and coordinate staffing.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, food safety, and GMP.
  • Ability to read production information and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of all packaging lines under the Shift Manager.
  • Coordinate employee activities: assignments, rotations, schedules, attendance, staffing needs.
  • Evaluate performance and provide hiring, coaching, disciplinary, and termination recommendations.
  • Collaborate with management to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Enforce safety policies, GMP, FDA regulations, and company standards of conduct.
  • Train and develop operators to improve productivity and performance.
  • Ensure packaging equipment operates safely and report issues.

Production Supervisor – Responsibilities

Join Pure's Food Specialties and become part of a growing team that manufactures high-quality food products. As a Packaging Supervisor, you'll play a key leadership role in driving production, developing employees, and ensuring safe, efficient operations on the production floor. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, solving problems, and making a direct impact on production performance. You'll have the opportunity to coach and develop employees, collaborate with multiple departments, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while building your leadership experience with a company committed to quality, food safety, and operational excellence.

  • Supervise the daily operations of all packaging lines under the direction of the Shift Manager.
  • Coordinate employee activities, including work assignments, rotations, schedules, attendance, and staffing needs.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide hiring, coaching, disciplinary, and termination recommendations.
  • Collaborate with management to maximize production efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Enforce all company policies, including safety, GMP, FDA regulations, break and meal periods, and company standards of conduct.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve workplace issues in accordance with company policies.
  • Train, coach, and develop operators and line employees to improve productivity and performance.
  • Ensure all packaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently, and report equipment issues as needed.
  • Assign daily housekeeping and sanitation tasks to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Track production downtime, efficiency losses, and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards and food safety requirements.
  • Review and complete required quality control documentation accurately and timely.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Maintain Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification and ensure proper compliance with LOTO procedures.
  • Communicate production updates, shift activities, and operational issues effectively during shift handoffs.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

  • 1st Shift 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM – 1 Position
  • 2nd Shift 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM – 1 Position
  • 3rd Shift 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM – 1 Position
Required Qualifications
  • Previous experience leading or directing employees in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience operating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing production or packaging equipment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to effectively interact with employees and management.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to interpret production information.
  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or packaging operations.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
