Job summary

Buckhead Meat And Seafood is seeking a Production Technician II to support the operations team by diagnosing equipment issues and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment with limited supervision. The role involves 5S and Lean activities, line configuration, and safety procedures across the facility.

The candidate will learn leading maintenance practices to increase equipment safety, uptime, and performance, and will work with OEM technicians during rebuilds and repairs.

Qualifications

• Three (3) plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and material handling equipment.
• Preferred familiarity with USDA, FDA, and SQF policies and procedures.
• High School Diploma or GED required; formal equipment maintenance training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports safety policies and procedures per OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, FDA, and related standards.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on production and process utility equipment to improve quality, safety, and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic deficiencies; may include facility repairs.
• Learn and apply continuous improvement tools (RCA, FMA) to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with OEM technicians during rebuilds, line moves, installations, setups, and emergency repairs.
• Read and interpret manuals and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
• Manage planned work, unplanned failures, and work orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Log maintenance activities in CMMS with metrics like MTTR, MTBF, and part usage.
