Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Production Technician II to support the operations team by troubleshooting equipment issues and performing preventive maintenance across the facility under limited supervision. This role emphasizes 5S and Lean practices, material handling improvements, line configuration, and safety procedures to improve uptime, safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Three or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and material handling equipment.
Experience with lockout/tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined space, etc. and some food processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports safety policies and procedures (OSHA, NEC, NFPA, USDA, FDA).
Perform inspections and preventive/predictive maintenance on production and process utility equipment to improve quality, safety, and reliability.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment; may include facility repairs.
Apply continuous improvements tools (RCA, FMA) to prevent recurrence and improve reliability.
Collaborate with OEM technicians during rebuilds, line moves, installations, and repairs.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance.
Manage planned work, unplanned failures, and work orders in a fast-paced environment; log in CMMS.
