Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood in Houston, TX is seeking an Operations/Maintenance Technician to perform routine and advanced maintenance on food processing equipment and facility systems. This role supports night shifts and occasional weekends to ensure continuous operation and safety.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing equipment, building upkeep, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of single and three phase electrical systems (AC/DC) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and high-level maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Complete preventive maintenance on equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Visually inspect and test machinery; communicate issues to operations staff.
• Diagnose problems and repair equipment using manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Set up and breakdown of Food Processing equipment as required.
• Perform building maintenance tasks (plumbing, lighting, etc.).
• Conduct preventative maintenance on material handling equipment and batteries during downtime.
• Able to work night shift and occasional weekends.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
• Ensure food safety and quality of products.
