Job summary

Buckhead & Newport Meat and Seafood is seeking a Production Technician II to support the operations team with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on production equipment across the facility with limited supervision. You will participate in 5S and Lean activities, including material handling improvements and safety procedures.

This role requires learning industry-leading maintenance practices to increase equipment safety, uptime, and performance.

Qualifications

Three or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems, electrical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and material handling equipment.
Experience with lockout/tagout, job hazard analysis, hot work permits, confined space is preferred.
Experience in a food processing environment with USDA, FDA, and SQF policies is preferred.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on production and process utility equipment to improve quality, safety, and reliability.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; may include facility repairs.
Learn and apply continuous improvement tools (RCA, FMA) to reduce recurrence and improve uptime.
Collaborate with OEM technicians on rebuilds, line moves, installations, setups, calibrations, and emergency repairs.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and service.
Manage planned work, unplanned failures, and CMMS log entries to track labor, uptime, MTTR/MTBF, and parts usage.
